For Women
While acknowledgement of and treatment for sex addiction/compulsivity is increasingly available to men, the women struggling with these behaviours can find it harder to access support. Sexually compulsive women are more vulnerable to judgement and misunderstanding, and the issues they face have a different emphasis.
At Innisfree we provide a safe place and specialist knowledge to support women working to halt self-destructive sexual behaviours, and find new ways to manage feelings and relationships.
We run women-only groups, and are sensitive to the complex pressures and issues faced by women struggling with problematic sexual behaviours.
Our weekly psychotherapy group provides a safe space to explore and address the impact of relational trauma including difficult emotional states during and post discovery or disclosure of their partner’s betrayal.
