Rob is the founder and clinical lead of Innisfree Therapy and has extensive experience of working with addiction, trauma and associated disorders. He founded Innisfree as he is committed to providing a high standard of care to individuals and couples affected by sexual compulsivity and addiction, recognizing that it is important to provide time and space for this process. Alongside an extraordinary team, Rob has developed a model of working in direct response to the very specific needs of individuals and couples presenting with the consequences of this devastating compulsion. Rob is well known and highly regarded in the field, having worked as a therapist and supervisor at a number of addiction treatment centres in the UK. He also delivers compulsive sexual behaviour and substance addiction training to clinicians both in and outside the UK. Innisfree grew from Rob’s fundamental belief in the power of the group dynamic, to reduce shame and facilitate change for those affected by addiction and associated relational disorders. Rob has managed the addictions treatment team at a leading private psychiatric hospital, sat on the Board of ATSAC (Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity) and ran a successful private practice on Harley Street for many years.

Kat is Co-Director of Innisfree Therapy and a skilled and experienced integrative psychotherapist. In addition to assessments and individual 1-1 therapy sessions with those affected by compulsive behaviour, Kat facilitates weekly psychotherapy groups and monthly aftercare groups for those suffering from relational trauma and co-facilitates treatment planning and facilitated disclosure sessions at Innisfree. Kat’s extensive experience in the addiction field includes working in abstinence-based residential addiction treatment centres, community projects and private practice in Berlin, Portugal, Surrey and London for twenty years. In her own development as a practitioner she has integrated and drawn influence from a number of principal theories and practices, notably attachment theory, existential and relational psychotherapy models, cognitive behavioural therapy, family work, mindfulness and breath experience. Kat holds an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy (Minster Centre/Middlesex University) and is a UKCP accredited and BACP registered psychotherapist and counsellor; she has completed training in sex addiction and is a registered member of ATSAC, the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Addiction and Compulsivity. Kat is fluent in English, German and Portuguese.

José is a Counsellor and Psychotherapist holding an MSc in Counselling and several qualifications in Addiction Counselling. He has been working in the field of addiction and associated disorders since 2003 gaining extensive experience working with compulsive behaviours, mental health and substance addictions. Over the years, José has worked primarily in leading residential treatment facilities as Counsellor, Senior Counsellor, Head Therapist and Clinical Manager, overseeing teams of multidisciplinary clinicians. He has worked individually with clients over extended periods of time affording the opportunity for long term and sustainable recovery and change. As an integrative therapist, José provides a range of different models and concepts of therapy, such as CBT, CAT, MI, Relapse Prevention, Psychodynamic, Systemic and Gestalt. At Innisfree, he facilitates psychoeducational workshops and interpersonal psychotherapy groups as well as individual therapy. José is fluent in English, Portuguese, French and Spanish.

Lisa is a Couple and Individual Psychotherapist with a Postgraduate Diploma in Couple and Individual Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy. She has also been awarded the Master of Science in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy. She trained and practised for many years at the prestigious Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, both as an Assessor and Couple/Psychosexual therapist and she is an accredited member of the professional bodies, BACP and COSRT. Lisa creates a bespoke programme for each client or couple which makes links with past influences and equally works with the ‘here and now’ dynamics of the therapy room. Sessions aim to address any sense of crisis that has developed in the couple, but they go on to explore how a long-term relationship can be sustained more satisfactorily particularly in the areas of communication and sex. Lisa’s clients, both at Innisfree and in her private practice, have regularly experienced significant levels of positive change and taken away from the work a deeper and more helpful understanding of themselves and their partner, which, it is hoped leads to a greater sense of personal and relational well-being.

Steve is a qualified and accredited addictions counsellor and therapist with considerable experience of working with problematic substance use and behavioural addictions. Since qualifying in 2007, he has worked in both private and public settings including in private practice, residential addiction clinics and 3rd sector organisations. He has also acted as a consultant for private treatment facilities in the USA, Asia and the Middle East.
Steve is trained to work with individuals and groups, and draws from influences in therapy and beyond in his work with clients, underpinned by a central belief that “the self is not something one finds; it is something one creates”. His current practice centres on the treatment of out of control sexual behaviours, particularly the intersection of technology and sexual compulsion.
Steve is a trained Rewind and Brainspotting practitioner and is currently studying for a Masters degree in psychology.

Originally qualifying and working as a doctor in the NHS, Kirsty has over 15 years’ clinical experience. Additionally holding a Master’s degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, she has worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, addiction clinics and in the private sector. She uses an individualistic approach inspired by relational, existential and psychodynamic thinking, seeking to understand how each client experiences addiction and compulsivity within the context of their current life, whilst considering how their past may be contributing. Kirsty’s dual medical and psychotherapeutic qualifications and experience afford her a unique perspective in working with clients towards change. She sees clients on a 1-1 basis as part of the Innisfree Therapy team.

James graduated with a Masters degree from the University of Edinburgh in 2016. Since then he has managed his own private practice and worked as a specialist counsellor in addiction. James has lived experience of compulsive behaviour and this formed the basis of his Masters dissertation. He has an active interest in men’s issues and in working with clients and families impacted by autism and addiction (both substance and behavioural). James is currently studying for a diploma in CSB. Prior to qualifying as a therapist James worked as journalist, television reporter and producer, and a film director in a media career spanning over 30 years, operating in the UK, Eastern Europe and Africa. Prior to joining Innisfree James worked as a therapist with NHS patients, private health patients and delivered services for third sector organisations. As a broadcaster James worked for Sky News, Yorkshire Television, HTV and Channel One. and TV-am and his documentary “Red for Life” exploring footballer Bobby Charlton’s 50 years at Manchester United was nominated for an RTS award. As a journalist James worked for The Scotsman, The Daily Telegraph and The Daily Mail. He is also a published writer and co-author of “The Official Encyclopaedia of Manchester United”.

Magda is a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist with an MSc in Psychology. Over the past years, Magda studied Psychotherapy at Regent’s University and has recently completed her Post Graduate Diploma at Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology in Cambridge. She is currently finalising her specialisation in Compulsive Sexual Behaviours. Magda has previous experience in Mental Health field, working in SEN School for young adults suffering from severe autism and by volunteering for SANE, a helpline for people with mental distress. She is currently working with individuals, couples and groups. In her work she is aiming to create a non-judgmental, supportive space where she encourages openness and honesty, embracing diversity and uniqueness of her clients. Bethany started a career in mental health almost 20 years ago, training as a mental health nurse. Her clinical practice started on an addiction detoxification ward, which developed a passion in Bethany to learn more ways to work with her clients, enabling a more developed, holistic practice. Returning to university, Bethany enhanced her training by studying Addictions Therapy, and branched out to run therapy groups and 1:1 therapy. Bethany has worked across the private and public sector, and has experience in setting up services, including several family programmes, and screening programmes for STDs and BBVs within addiction units.
Over her career, Bethany became aware of how past traumatic events can affect us in the present and how, at times, these events can impact our forward movement. To support individuals wanting to work through trauma, Bethany is trained in EMDR, and she has also just completed a PG cert in Clinical Sexology, working towards CORST membership.
Bethany has a strong belief that inspiring hope can really support individual change and growth, and is creative and dynamic in approach, celebrating the individual’s journey and experiences.

Sundeep is a highly qualified and experienced therapist. She works with families, couples and individuals, including children and adolescents, who may present with a range of complex problems. She has more than 10 years of experience of working in various settings including CAMHS, Social Care, Private practice, and Specialist Community Outreach Treatment Team. Her experience in the Addiction field includes working in an abstinence-based day programme and counselling service.
Sundeep uses a relational approach to her work which is based on the conceptualisation that problems are not located within individuals but are shared with families and the wider communities. She believes that involving the whole family in therapy can often help to get to the heart of the problem. Sundeep provides a warm and compassionate attitude to all her clients, and offers a safe therapeutic space where her clients can begin the process of healing their traumas together by communicating and expressing difficult feelings, and repairing relational ruptures. Sundeep helps families utilise their strengths to change dysfunctional patterns and navigate through challenging situations. As an experienced Couple’s Therapist, Sundeep works with couples by helping them to talk about difficult issues including, infidelity, intimacy issues, work-life stress, and difficult life cycle transitions, so that they can find new ways of relating and develop more meaningful and fulfilling relationships.

Kathryn’s professional background was in the commercial sector before she retrained in psychotherapy. Since then, she has accrued over 20 years’ experience in professional practice. She is an accredited clinical psychotherapist (UKCP), EMDR therapist and psycho-hypnotherapist.
Kathryn specialises in treating addiction, compulsive behaviour, eating disorders and traumatic stress and her experience includes working in private practice and in specialist clinics. This has included leading both the eating disorder service and the addiction service at a reputable private clinic.
Kathryn views addictive and compulsive practices from a systemic perspective. This means she understands their impact is not limited to the individual living with addiction / disorder and they can impact other family members. Therefore, she provides specialist therapeutic and psychoeducational support for families to facilitate recovery for all those impacted. This is the focus of Kathryn’s work at Innisfree where she facilitates relational trauma services for partners.
In her work, Kathryn is reminded daily that everyone’s experience of life and it’s challenges is intensely unique and personal. Therefore, her focus is always on what each person wishes to achieve from their work together. As an integrative contemporary psychotherapist she continually develops her therapeutic skill set to ensure that she can avail of a broad range of evidenced approaches in her work.
Kathryn understands that taking a first step to seek therapy can feel daunting and but, in practice, she finds that therapy tends to consist of curiosity, connection, exploration and increased self awareness and acceptance.

Alex is an art psychotherapist (MA) and holds professional training in both individual and group therapy. He has been working in the field of trauma since 2016, starting off in adoption and fostering where he provided comprehensive assessments and treatment for developmental trauma and attachment difficulties. Since then, Alex has worked primarily in acute psychiatric hospitals, overseeing the art therapy department and working as part of the general psychiatric team. Alex has experience providing both individual and group therapy. Alex works with a psychodynamic approach and incorporates DBT and mindfulness skills in his practice. Through experiential work, play and creativity, he supports clients to repair and heal.
