What to Expect
A detailed overview of our therapeutic approach, guiding you through the treatment process and what to anticipate during your journey to recovery.

Your First Step
Your assessment journey
A respectful, informed and confidential experience.
After you get in touch by email or telephone, we will contact you in confidence to gather the initial information we require to arrange your assessment with the most relevant member of our therapy team based on your specific issues and circumstances.
We acknowledge the courage that it takes for people to reach out for professional support, and our priority is to keep you safe from the very beginning of your journey with Innisfree Therapy.
Our specialist assessments can be offered in person at our Harley Street practice in London or online via video call. Whether in person or online, you will be welcomed by a member of our team who will work with you to understand your history and collaboratively develop a formulation of your difficulties.
We also utilise several evidence-based tools to help us make sense of your experiences and how they are showing up in your life right now which will inform your course of treatment. An initial assessment typically lasts for 60-90 minutes with the possibility of an extended assessment and additional meetings to include partners or family members, depending on the complexity of your needs.
Often, we will have a clear idea of what would be most helpful to you by the end of the assessment meeting and will share our recommendations, answer any questions you may have, and jointly agree your therapeutic programme.
Occasionally, we may need to arrange a further assessment or liaise with other mental health or medical professionals involved in your care before this is possible. We will also let you know this on the day if this applies.
The programme offered is in response to both your clinical needs and also to take into consideration your resources including time and finances. We maintain consistent clear communication with you throughout every step of the process.
