Clinical Director

Qualifications

MBChB, MA Integrative Psychotherapy & Counselling, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Originally qualifying and working as a doctor in the NHS, Dr Kirsty Loudon has over 15 years of clinical experience.

Additionally, holding a Master’s degree in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling, she has worked in various settings, including hospitals, addiction clinics, and the private sector.

She uses an individualistic approach inspired by relational, existential, and psychodynamic thinking. She seeks to understand how each client experiences compulsivity within the context of their current life while considering how their past may be contributing.

Kirsty has a special interest in trauma and is trained in EMDR, attachment-informed EMDR and Somatic Trauma Therapy.

Her dual medical and psychotherapeutic qualifications and experience afford her a unique perspective in working with clients towards change.

Kirsty leads Innisfree Therapy’s clinical development and has been integral to the creation of our unique team-based practice, which optimises the integration of modalities.

She now leads all clinical aspects of the practice as Clinical Director and sees clients on a 1-1 basis as part of the team.
